ABSTRACT

This article summarized the laws and regulations on the prevention and control of infectious diseases, classification of infectious diseases, and measures for the prevention and control of infectious diseases in Japan. Ⅰt focused on the containment of spread of infectious diseases, classification and categorization in the treatment and quarantine. Ⅰn addition, the response to the novel coronavirus pneumonia in the early stage of transmission in Japan was introduced. Moreover, we propose specific suggestions to improve the system of laws and regulations on the prevention and control of infectious diseases in China, improve the classification of infectious diseases, clarify the rights and obligations of governments at all levels, establish medical facilities with"classification and combination of normal and emergency situations"for the treatment of infectious diseases, practice emergency simulation exercises regularly, and improve risk communication.

ABSTRACT

The earthquake occurred in Japan on March 11, 2011 was accompanied by a tsunami, which also led to a leakage accident at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant. The disaster caused large-scale casualties and property damage. Soma City in Fukushima Prefecture established a disaster response headquarter and held its first meeting 9 minutes after the earthquake. Disaster response can be divided into three stages. In the first phase, life protection is the primary task. In the second phase, the primary tasks are health protection and basic life support. And in the third phase, life quality improvement is the primary task. This article reviewed the public health emergency response of local governments in Japan after the disaster in order to improve the response to public health emergencies in China.

ABSTRACT

Human tongue cancer (TC) is an aggressive malignancy with a very poor prognosis. There is an urgent need to elucidate the underlying molecular mechanisms involved in TC progression.mRNA expression profiles play a vital role in the exploration of cancer-related genes. Therefore, the purpose of our study was to identify the progression associated candidate genes of TC by bioinformatics analysis.Five microarray datasets of TC samples were downloaded from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database and the data of 133 TC patients were screened from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC) database. The integrated analysis of five microarray datasets and the RNA sequencing data of TC samples in TCGA-HNSC was performed to obtain 1023 overlapping differentially expressed genes (DEGs) in TC and adjacent normal tissue (ANT) samples.Next,Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway analysis was conducted to enrich the significant pathways of the 1023 DEGs and PI3K-Akt signaling pathway (P=0.011) was selected to be the candidate pathway.A total of 23 DEGs with |log2 fold change (FC)| ≥1.0 in phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase-serine/threonine kinase (PI3K-Akt) signaling pathway were subjected to survival analysis of 125 eligible TC samples in TCGA database, indicating increased integrin-α3 gene (ITGA3) expression was significantly associated with poorer prognosis.Taken together, our study suggested ITGA3 may facilitate the development of TC via activating PI3K-Akt signaling pathway.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVETo explore the effect of CIK cells comined with VAD regimen on prognosis of patients with multiple myeloma(MM).

METHODSForty-six cases of MM were divided into observation group and control group, the control group was treated by VAD and the observation group was treated by CIK cells comined with VAD. The prognosis between 2 groups was compared.

RESULTSThe total efficiency was not significantly different between the 2 groups (P>0.05); the CR in the observation group was significantly higher than that in control group(P<0.05); the levels of osteocytes in observation group were higher than those in control group(P<0.05); the levels of osteoclasts, plasma cells, IgA and IgG in observation group were lower than those in control group(P<0.05); the increasing ranges of albumin and hemoglobin, and the decreasing range of blood sedimentation and β2-MG in observation group were higher than those in control group(P<0.05); the incidences of abnormal electrocardiogram, myocardial enzyme and creatinine in observation group were higher than those in control group(P<0.05).

CONCLUSIONCIK cells comined with VAD regimen can enhance the therapeutic effects on the patients with multiple myeloma, improve the objective index and reduce the risk of adverse reactions, thus may be applicable to clinical practice.

ABSTRACT

Re-evaluation of bioequivalence of generic drugs is one of the key research focus currently. As a means to ensure consistency of the therapeutic effectiveness of drug products, clinical bioequivalence has been widely accepted as a gold standard test. In vitro dissolution testing based on the theory of the BCS is the best alternative to in vivo bioequivalence study. In this article, the conventional dissolution method and flow-through cell method were used to investigate the dissolution profiles of domestic amoxicillin capsules in different dissolution media, and the absorption behavior of the drugs with different release rates (t85% = 15-180 min) in the gastrointestinal tract was predicted by Gastro Plus. The flow-through cell method was thought better to reflect the release characteristics in vivo, and amoxicillin capsules with regard to the release rates up to 45 min (t85% = 45 min) were having a satisfied bioequivalence with the oral solution according to the C(max) and AUC. Although two different dissolution profiles of domestic amoxicillin capsules were found by flow-through cell methods, prediction results revealed that domestic capsules were probably bioequivalent to each other.
